A New Approach Towards Objectively Diagnosing Concussions This fascinating presentation will feature two renowned physicians who will discuss groundbreaking technology that allows for the objective diagnosis of concussions. Dr. Michael McCrea, an international lecturer on traumatic brain injuries, will begin by discussing TBI Biomarkers and their use in diagnosing concussions. Then, Dr Uzma Samadani, a lauded neurosurgeon and brain injury researcher, will introduce the first concussion diagnostic technology to be cleared by the FDA which uses ocular nerve function to diagnose concussions even without a baseline. Dr. Zoran Maric, an accomplished orthopedic spine surgeon, will discuss evidence-based medicine, his application of the same in his day-to-day practice, and it’s use within the worker’s compensation industry.
