Home Care and Hospice: Essential Partners in Emergency Planning The two-hour Forum will include a brief association presentation explaining how home care and hospice providers are essential partners in emergency planning and response. The Forum gives home care providers in attendance the opportunity to share their comments, questions or concerns on any Emergency Preparedness issues that face their agencies. Your participation in the open discussion helps priorize and shape future emergency management programming. This is also a unique opportunity for our Coalition partners to hear directly from the home care and hospice industry about their needs and how providers can partner with other sectors in an emergency. |

OMH TRUST Training Informational Session HANYS and GNYHA are hosting an informational session during which OMH will discuss its upcoming specialized training to address aggressive and other difficult behaviors in Article 28 and Article 31 hospitals across the state. Therapeutic Relationships and Universal Safety Training provides a consistent framework for creating a facility-wide therapeutic milieu in which all staff members can be confident their interactions with individuals in care will contribute to their active improvement. TRUST consists of practices that have been shown to enhance patient and staff safety in hospitals. The program provides staff with the competence and skills necessary to prevent and manage crisis situations and incorporates previous OMH training. This webinar is part of HANYS’ Preventing and managing violence in the healthcare setting series. |
